Unpopular opinion time:

This has been frustrating me for a long while and I needed to vent it out to you guys. Since the revolution started in Syria, and with thousands of Syrians fleeing the country to neighboring ones, you see a good amount of Arab men stepping up to encourage each other to ‘protect their sisters from the harm of being displaced’ and get married to them. So you see droves of Arab men going and purchasing these women from ‘bride markets’ for marriage. 

Okay, other than it being wrong in ten freaking million ways, where the hell were these men when women in Somalia, Burma, and Sudan needed their help? Would they come running to marry them? No, because they haven’t been blessed with white skin. That’s literally what it amounts to- their beauty. Syrian women are very well known for their beauty…beauty that is the most accepted amongst the Arabs which means…white. 

Look, what I’m saying is that they are beautiful. And they shouldn’t have to be put in situations that strip them of all their choices and independence in order for them to be able to survive. But what I freaking hate is that these filthy ass men who can’t freaking join the revolution in resistance, would rather spend thousands, if not millions of dinars/riyals/idontgiveashit, on buying women who they believe should be saved. As opposed to the darker ‘sisters’ who are too dark for saving.

I hope when the revolution comes to their countries, they’d be the first to go to hell.

God, when are we going to face the racism and realize that we have a ton of shit heads living amongst us.
